Spanish-Argentinian cartoonist and humorist Darío Adanti is co-founder and editor of the satirical magazine Mongolia based in Spain since 2012. In this interview, we discuss the role of satire in contemporary democracies, his dual identity as Argentinian and Spaniard, and his latest work on the history of Peronism.

The film is set during the Spanish crisis around 2010 and follows three young people living in an abandoned building on the outskirts of Madrid. Indie, contemplative, and with subtle humor, “Los Bárbaros” portrays the disillusionment of a generation with the promises of liberal democracies. We talk about precarity, migration, and chickens.
